Are you ready for Back to School or Football season?

What the real back to school means to me is the time when you have to get the kids up early, make lunches, and then when they arrive home it is HOMEWORK time!

I can say I am sort of ready for a normal schedule. (I mean if there is such a thing as normal) My 7 year old stays up to late, I know kind of my fault, but I blame it on the sun. Blame it on his dad, who gets home from work late, and you can’t forget to blame “the brothers”. The brothers are 17 and 20, both living at home. Well the 20 year old sort of hops around, but has been home lately.

This school year will be bitter sweet. As my middle child, will be a senior in High School. (Did I mention, I will also have a child entering 1st grade?) When his older brother was a Senior in High School, I think I cried everyday. This year will be no different. We will have the long awaited Senior Football Season, which will bring Thursday or Friday night fun! New head football coach, and hopefully a winning season. If it is in God’s plan, then for some awesome college scouts will find my son’s ability to play football amazing and will offer him a chance to play in college. We aren’t thinking D1. But hopefully something!
