Hi, thought I would share a few pics on my veggie garden. It is doing really well, very excited to have some tomatoes soon, we have tons of green ones right now. We even planted cantalope, hopefully that will turn out okay, I read on the internet all sorts of things to do when you grow cantalope, like put a board under the melon as it grows so it won’t rot. Sounds like alot of work to me, but I am willing to give it a try. Oh, and with the jalapenos I am going to try to make pepper jelly. All my peeps tell me it is easy, just get some sure- jell (not sure how to spell) since I have never bought the stuff.. I am anxious to give it a try. I could be a canning mama by the end of this summer. Below is a picture of my bell peppers,
My poor dad, who did 90% of the work to get this thing rolling has not even been able to swing by the house to check on his farming skills in almost 3 weeks, he is working like crazy because of the Hail Storm that is a blessing for my family, and such a disaster for others. (Remember my family owns a Roofing Company) So, anyways… this is one thing among many things I have been doing.
Mmmm. Looks like fun! All we can do is a balcony herb garden with also a tomato plant, a chili pepper plant, strawberry plants, and sunflowers as well. I can't wait to someday have a yard and have a big garden too! Can't wait to see how canning goes!!!!
