Yesterday, a 25 million dollar coupon ring was busted in Arizona. They were opperating a coupon site under the name of savvyshoppersite.com this counterfeit coupon ring busted by the Arizona PD.

Here are tips for not becoming a victim of Coupon Fraud:

  • Never purchase coupons online, you don’t know where these coupons came from and could be fraudulent.
  • Purchase newspapers from your local paper.
  • Email your favorite companies telling them how you enjoy their products, and they may send you a coupon.
  • When in doubt, check the Coupon Information Center (CIC) to see what fraudulent coupons are circulating around your area.

How coupon fraud hurts American Workers:

  • Manufacturers lose money
  • Consumers will have to pay more for their groceries
  • Americans lose jobs because companies are losing revenue

Coupons are like cash. Coupons must be used properly, meaning used for what the coupon is meant for, is not expired, and is a legit coupon.
