Homemade Chai Latte

I recently have been hooked on Starbucks Chai Latte’s

they are so delicious, but for $3.15 or $3.85 a pc makes it a pretty expensive treat. So one day I was at the grocery store, and found this pack of Chai Tea, that works out pretty well. Brand is Stash, it is $2.99 for a box of 18. I bought the assortment box, but my favorite is the double spice chai.

Here is how:

  • 1 pack of double spice chai tea bag
  • 4 oz of milk (either whole milk or 2 % is best)
  • 8 oz of water

I use my keurig for the water, and use the beverage button on my microwave for the milk.

I let it steep for about 3 to 4 minutes, and mix splenda or Stevia to taste. I have made it without splenda at first, but the tea was missing the sweet taste of the “sugar” I am very excited to be able to make this at home, and save some cash.

Excited for the cold weather, and the warmth of Chai Latte’s at home.

You might try unsweetended vanilla almond milk by almond breeze. You can buy it at Akin's and sometimes Target and Homeland stores
