Oklahoma Area: Chef’s Requested Beef Tips Recipe and Giveaway

Have you heard of Chef’s Requested? They are a made in Oklahoma company and sell yummy Beef. I am here to tell you all about it. First, my hubby started a diet. Needed meat, so he has been eating the Bacon Wrapped Filet’s everynight! He loves them, for the price they are pretty tasty. But I am here today to discuss the new Beef Tips and Beef Roasts, available at Crest Food’s in OKC area.

Chef’s Requested sent me some coupons to try the Roast and the Beef Tips. My first go around at Crest was a challenge. Could not find the beef. Second time around, well found it! Right under the Meat Counter, you know the place where they wrap the meat for you (this was at the Edmond location) I have a little whrrl.. to show details.

So, now I have the meat now what to do with it? Here is what I did, and it was a huge hit with my older son (18) middle son (15) thought it was okay, but still cleared the plate. Little son, (4) He ate it all up too. I let him dip the steak in BBQ sauce (yuck.. I know, but he likes BBQ sauce on about everything)

You want to make your own healthy low cost dinner? Here is how.

Chefs Requested Beef Tips ($4.99) serves 4 (coupon on package $1/1)
Cream of Mushroom Soup $0.75
Egg Noodles ( I used the healthy ones with extra protien) $1.25
Roast Seasoning ( I had some in pantry, cost unknown)

I cooked meat, per package instructions. Then added Mushroom Soup, spices and continued to simmer with lid on about 10 minutes. Cooked noodles, drained them and added them to meat mixture. Simmered for another 10 minutes or so.
Total Cost: $7 serves 4 ($1.75 each)
