How to Turn off iPhone Photo location. The pic above shows you how to turn off your iPhone photo location, on your iPhone 5.

With all the talk in the news on how anyone can find out where a certain picture has been taken, we need to make sure our photos are safe and can’t be tracked by strangers. We live in a whole new world when it comes to stranger danger.

I learned today, by just having your camera on your phone, set to location on setting, any of my pics I share can be tracked to when and where I took them! Scary. So this means that cute picture I took at the park, and shared on Facebook (even with location off on my Facebook, a hacker can still find out what park the pic was taken at) many people don’t know how to use there iPhone settings. So, here is an easy way on how to turn off iphone photo location.

1. Go to Settings

2. Then Go to Privacy

3. Then Go to Location Services

4. Turn whatever location you want to turn off

and definitely turn off the camera location!

(I had no idea my camera on my phone had this location service until today, and I bet you didn’t know either)

So, the myth has been debunked. If your child has an iPhone or iTouch, and even an iPad make sure this is done to the camera function. All those pics on instagram will be trackable, even though we tell our kids, don’t take pics of house numbers, car tags, names of schools etc. With technology advancing, parents need to stay ahead of the game.

Oh, and how can I forget about Pinterest. Make sure to share this on your pinterest boards so all your friends and followers can keep their photos safe from the bad guys!
