I know, some people do their my favorite things post, and today I am going to share with you all my Oklahoma favorites. I was not paid, given, bribed or anything to write this post, but my love for these places led me to share, so this is some great stuff for anyone new to Oklahoma. Here we go..
Restaurants my favorites.. drum roll…
Eishen’s in Okarche (Country Squire, my papa’s chicken distribution center sells them their great chicken, he is now passed on but I do think of him when I eat Chicken!)
Johnnies Charcol Burger’s,(OKC)I do have to say the Johnnies Express are not quite as good as the ole’ Johnnies on Britton Road though. I have great memories there, ate there for lunch when I was in high school often, before football games on Friday nights, and we would “caravan to the high school” before the games and we would begin at Johnnies!
Old School Bagel Cafe,(OKC) this is a newbie to Oklahoma, reminds me again of high school, when we used to have a “bagel shop” very similar to this one! Oh, and they are making a shop really close to where I live too, opening in about 2 weeks!
Flat Tire Burgers, near UCO campus, has some of the yummiest burgers in town, and a smores kit to make your own smores at the table!
Mexican Food lovers.. Ted’s is the best. My favorite dish there is the Fajita Chicken Enchilada’s, and for you Texan’s Oklahoma’s Mexican Restaurants serve cheese dip free! (well at least free at most)
501 Cafe, this is a great spot for lunch. Yummy salads, like the Pear Salad is the best.
Hideaway Pizza, another Oklahoma great! Best Pizza, just a bit different then your usual take out pizza. It is terrific!
Now for some MIO (Made in Oklahoma musts, will buy even without a coupon!)
Griffin’s Syrup
Head and Country BBQ sauce
Fast Fixin’s Chicken Fried Steak
Red Hot Lover, Prairie Gypsies pepper jelly
Well this is it, this concludes some of my favorites, from the Great State of Oklahoma!

We lived in Alabama for 9 years and when we would come to Oklahoma to visit family, I'd make sure to get some of that griffins syrup to take back to Alabama! Its the best!!!
