Chef’s Requested sent me some coupons to try the Roast and the Beef Tips. My first go around at Crest was a challenge. Could not find the beef. Second time around, well found it! Right under the Meat Counter, you know the place where they wrap the meat for you (this was at the Edmond location) I have a little whrrl.. to show details.

So, now I have the meat now what to do with it? Here is what I did, and it was a huge hit with my older son (18) middle son (15) thought it was okay, but still cleared the plate. Little son, (4) He ate it all up too. I let him dip the steak in BBQ sauce (yuck.. I know, but he likes BBQ sauce on about everything)

You want to make your own healthy low cost dinner? Here is how.

Chefs Requested Beef Tips ($4.99) serves 4 (coupon on package $1/1)
Cream of Mushroom Soup $0.75
Egg Noodles ( I used the healthy ones with extra protien) $1.25
Roast Seasoning ( I had some in pantry, cost unknown)

I cooked meat, per package instructions. Then added Mushroom Soup, spices and continued to simmer with lid on about 10 minutes. Cooked noodles, drained them and added them to meat mixture. Simmered for another 10 minutes or so.
Total Cost: $7 serves 4 ($1.75 each)

Rice Krispies (TM) Snowman
By Shannon Snow (hence the Snowman Idea)

Ingredients:

3 Tablespoons of Real Butter
10 oz of Marshmallows
6 Cups of Rice Krispies (TM)
1/2 Cup of Peanut Butter
1 package of Almond Bark (white)
Other items needed.. Raisins, Chocolate cookie, pretzels for Snowman

Directions:

Melt Butter and Marshmallows in Large Microwave safe bowl for about 2 to 3 minutes. Then Stir with a buttered cooking utensil. Mix in Rice Krispies (TM)

Cool in rectangle pan. Use Parchment paper if needed to press into pan to cool. When cool, cut into squares, and frost with peanut butter, put another square on top and form into circles.

While the treats cool, heat almond bark in pan until melted.

Dip round balls into almond bark. This is kind of messy, but it made the treats extra yummy, especially with the peanut butter surprises!

Make different shape balls, and then make the snowman. Add eyes, buttons, arms, and hat. I used raisins for eyes, nose and buttons, cookie for hat, and pretzels for arms. You can use your imagination. I cooled the snowman outside so it would cool faster.

With the extra treats, I made snowballs with peanut butter inside. I did not dip all of them. My sons ate the ones I had dipped before I could take a picture!
