Do you have a Walmart? Did you know if you bring in your ad, they will price match! So if you do not want to drive all over town, take all your ads to Walmart, and have them match the lower prices, however, they do not match ads with BOGO free, rebates, or other gimicks. But for the most part, this is a great way to get those deals, without going all over town.

Also, you may not know this but you can find some great deals at your local Walgreens or CVS drug stores, and after school starts, they will be marking all their back to school promo items down up to 75% then as well.

Another hint, do you have tons of jeans, that are in good use that no longer fit your child? Find a moms group, neighbors or friends and do a clothes swap. You could save tons of money this way, oh because you will not be spending any money!

Another great thing is shopping out of season, did you know stores are marking down up to 80% off summer clothing. In Oklahoma, it is still 80 degrees in October, so check those clearance racks, or stock up for next spring.

T.J. Maxx or Ross, discount clothing stores, you can get great hand bags, backpacks, jewelery, clothing and more, so it may be worth popping in one of those retailers as you search for back to school clothing.

Do you have a child that has to bring snacks to school once a month? Look for coupon deals, like the Kelloggs Fuel for School rebates, or other deals at the grocery store for snacks, breakfast, or lunch ideas. I have stocked up on all kinds of snacking items here lately, so I will be ready for those lunches and snacks after school.

I hope you found some of this information helpful. Subscribe to my blog here, so you will not miss out on other helpful information, printable coupons, and super dee duper deals, or just see what goes on in my life full of boys, teens, preschool and husband. I do not even have a girl pet! LOL.. have a great day!

Well, now that we are entering a new year, new challenges, new family situations, it is now time to make the best of 2009. Are you making a New Year’s Resolution? I suggest, taking one day at a time. I am going to become a healthier me, not by crazy diets, but a one day at a time approach. I also need to exercise this year, and continue my Bible Study.

As for finances, I am going to find the deals, and make a point to share my knowledge and my deals I find with my readers. I am going to do menu planning, to the best of my unorganized selfs ability, and track my reciepts. Even if I do not take advantage of the deals, I will be sure to share with you what I find.

As for my blog, I hope to make it bigger and better, add giveaways, and help others succeed in whatever their adventure in life should be. Talk about toddlers and teens, that is my life, 3 boys, 1 toddler, 2 teens… and of course my husband who I am sure feels neglected half the time since my younger one is so demanding of my time!

On my to do this upcoming week…

    Go to Walmart.

I do know that Wal-Mart has Farmland Bacon for $2.50. I have some coupons for $2 off, for this product! So I need to go and get me some bacon. My 16 year old son thinks I make the best bacon and waffles in town! So I have to make sure I stock up for my teenagers that will be coming over this weekend.

Also, Wal-Mart has some pretty nice clothes right now, that would be great to add to my wardrobe!

Today, I ended up selling tons of my stockpile, beauty items at my friends garage sale. This was great. Two things happened, one… I was able to get some cash, and two I got rid of a box of beanie babies that I had purchased back in the 90′s ty beanie baby craze.

It was my stupidity to collect the darn things in the first place! However those darn animals have given me tons of anxiety over the last 9 years. They are now gone!

Now, for my spending challenge… I spent $5 at the car wash, and $48.00 on a trash can, and a yankee candle. Yes, I did buy a nice stainless steel trash can. I figure I used some of my garage sale money anyhow, so it was like I got it FREE, but I did not.

Then for my high school reunion. It was great, 2 other classmates besides me showed up and we had a fabulous dinner at Deep Fork Grill. I mean Fabulous. Fortunately, I do not have to disclose how much we spent, because it was out of hubby’s budget. We are not blogging his money or spending only mine, so thank goodness for this loop hole in my spending savings challenge. Even though I feel like I am totally cheating. But I promise I am not cheating, because in my rule book, hubby can do whatever with his money! LOL…

Oh, darn I did spend another $2o today, I forgot about that spending…. shucks.
