It is Official… Summer is HERE!

No School, Lots of Baseball and tons of Pool time. That is what summer is made of, right? So far, 2 Baseball games.. Lost both. Tomorrow we will have another game, or 2… then possibly another on Monday. Happy Memorial Day to me.. but when you love Baseball you really can’t complain. Oh, and tomorrow is Happy Birthday to Husband. We will be celebrating his Bday bash hopefully pool side at my parents on Monday.

Oh and I was lucky today, and got to make phone calls to my hubby’s customers to let them know he would be with them this week to check out their roof! It was nice to hear all the sweet things they said about him. Makes me a proud wife. So, his job is definately a family affair. His brother is working there, my son, my mother, my sister, and I guess me.. Oh, and I can’t leave out my dad, well that is a given as he is the owner!

This week, Braddock gets to go to summer school,he is already to hit the playtime with his friends at school. I will enjoy the 4 hour break, 2 times a week for the next 2 months. All I can say is yippee for that.

As for shopping, have refrained from doing much shopping. I do need to hit Homeland, I hope they have some good stuff left! It is hard to refrain from grocery shopping and just to think I used to loathe it! I am still trying to clean out the fridge and freezer stash. Plus, not much cooking at dinner since hubby is home late and running to and from Baseball, we are eating a bunch of junk.

April Fools Day Memories

Some of the best things happen on April Fools day, a day beyond practical jokes along the lines, there is a spider on your head.. April Fools. LOL.

Today would have been a day at Shogun’s with my whole extended family as we would celebrate at 2 huge party tables with a live cooking show done by the best chef’s in town, serving fresh cooked chicken from my Papa’s Chicken Plant, Country Squire in OKC. But we will not be going there to celebrate my Papa’s birthday as he is no longer with us. I always remember his Birthday there and all the fun memories we shared as a family an extended family that others thought was so odd that we were so close.

Well time moves on, and we don’t all get together as we should. We all grow old, families expand, there is new births, new marriages, and life does move on. The above picture was taken at one of the celebrations at Shogun’s it is not the best picture, but it is of my late papa, the wonderful man that always loved his oldest granddaughter (me) the one that will never know my littlest boy, who I know he would have adored.

On the funnier side of memories, well today is the day my husband Jeremy, started working for my dads roofing company, in 1993. He is still there today, I would have never known this was his start date, but he likes to remind me of his workiversery. Which by the way, he has not reminded me about this yet today. I wonder if he will? So, jokes on him as he is still working there today. Working hard I might add, in order for me to raise our 3 boys. Have a great April Fools Day, and don’t be fooled by those ole’ tricks.

Saying Good Bye to the Gallbladder: Surgery Tomorrow

Here is the deal. Surgery tomorrow. Yes, Gallbladder is leaving my body tomorrow, should I keep it in a glass jar for memories? J/K. I have no time for surgery, I am a busy mom, 3 boy children. With Baseball games, and homework to be done and a preschooler that hugs on me all day long! So off to my mom’s the little one goes. I have a ton of work to get done today, so this alll I am sayin’ for now.

I will get that Homeland Post done, it is going to be a great week there if you have had time to peak at the ad.. so that is my next mission to do today, while doing laundry!

Back Again.. Here I am!

Hi everyone, I am officially back! I had a great time with Hubby in Vegas the last few days, sorry I have not posted anything, I had good intentions, drug my laptop all around the airport, security, hotel, etc.. and did not log on to the internet! So, of course my hubby gave me a hard time about lugging the laptop bag around!

So here I am.. back. I am refreshed, and back to being a mom. But I do have to say one thing, in past posts I have talked about the HCG diet, well apparently when you lose weight fast, you can begin to have gallbladder problems, and so lucky me is having attacks, that is at least what I am diagnosing myself with so off to the Dr. hopefully tomorrow to see what we can do about this problem. I am happy to have lost weight and have kept it off, so I do think it maybe worth it, but not sure. I had one attack while in Vegas that was pretty good, but not as bad as the one I had the night before I left. If you have not ever experienced gallbladder attacks, let me tell ya, they hurt bad… very bad. If you have experienced them, and still have your gallbladder please comment and tell me how often these attacks can occur!

To make matters worse, I am severely allergic to ibuprofen and aspirin. Not to mention terribly afraid of surgery! So, that is a bit about what is going on with me! I will be posting deals soon. If you have not entered the Red Gold Tomatoes giveaway yet, it ends tomorrow!
